Curatorship

Alongside her work as a creator, Mari Paula has for more than ten years developed an independent curatorial practice, also linked to Las Vivas – Ibero-American Dance Platform and Movimiento en Red. Her work covers selecting and mentoring projects, sitting on committees and juries for open calls, and building programmes and contexts for the performing arts.

She maintains a line of research focused on the African and Latin American diasporas, creating connections between artists, territories and contexts from a transnational perspective. Her experience unfolds in dialogue with the public and private sectors in Brazil and Spain, as well as with networks, museums, cultural centres and other platforms for creation and dissemination.
