Bodygraphs
dance and urban intervention research platform
ABOUT OR PROJECT
Dominated by tourism and by the mercantilist system, contemporary cities end up facing the processes of spectacularization and gentrification of their historic centers. This phenomenon, apart from generating the scheme of two neighborhoods that are not part of two circuits considered traditional, feeds the decrease in city participation and its subjective experience in the city.
Bodygraphies is a platform for research in dance and urban intervention, proposed for the city of Granada (Spain), which results from the fusion between the fields of contemporary dance and urbanism. One of the motivations for this initiative, is the perception that the exchange - between these two disciplines - presents possibilities of greater understanding of the role of the city e de_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5_cc90_cc918d inhabitants. 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
Through research and experience corpografic, the project aims to recover the urban experience of some public spaces, which we have seen diminishing in recent years.
