AL RELENTE
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Al Relente is a dance workshop and mediation project aimed at non-professional women with untrained bodies, which results in a collective performance in public space.
The project is aimed at a group of between 30 and 40 women, who through a choreographic score of everyday gestures, makes the female body visible and provides a space to imagine and create new relationships with the body, with movement and with space. public.
Al Relente questions the objectification and discrimination of the female body, in a society that calls for homogeneous, unreal and apolitical women.
HISTORY AND CONTINUITY
The project is a commission from the Government of Cantabria and had its premiere on the 'Mujeres y Cultura Program in 2021'. After its premiere, Al Relente became one of the mediation proposals offered by the company in His tour; where you work, for a week, with women from the area.
